The Senators might bring back DeBrincat on a one-year deal

The Senators rebuild has gone pretty good for them as they have been able to draft some good prospects, and their prospects have developed nicely at the NHL level. A perfect example of this is Stutzle, as he's only in his third season with the Senators and he already leads the team in goals (35), assists (43), and points (78) in 67 games this year.

One player that they acquired in the off-season last year, Alex DeBrincat hasn't played to his potential this year, which makes it tough for the Senators as they want to be contenders but need their big players to step up.

DeBrincat is on an expiring deal, and becomes a RFA at the end of year. It's possible that the Senators may bring back DeBrincat on a one-year deal at his $9 million qualifying offer.
