Chicago Blackhawks forward Tyler Bertuzzi managed to avoid getting fined by the NHL after his controversial goalie interference penalty against the Canucks.

The Chicago Blackhawks had their winning streak come to an end after their shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night, but they felt they deserved a better fate because of a controversial goalie interference call.
Forward Tyler Bertuzzi appeared to have scored the game winning goal later in the 3rd period, but it was called back because the referee judged that there had been goaltender interference.
Vancouver would later win the game 3-2 in a shootout.
"Video review supported the referees' call on the ice that Kevin Lankinen had covered the puck prior to Tyler Bertuzzi pushing his pad, which caused the puck to enter the net. According to Rule 69.3, 'If an attacking player initiates contact with a goalkeeper, incidental or otherwise, while the goalkeeper is in his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed."

Tyler Bertuzzi clearly wasn't a fan of the no goal call in Friday's game

Bertuzzi, who is in his 2nd year with the Blackhawks, didn't want to say what he was really thinking about the call to avoid being fined.
"I won't comment because I'll probably get fined. I think it was not that great of a call. That's what I think."

Jeff Blashill said that he hadn't gotten enough information for a satisfactory answer for why the goal was disallowed.
"I haven't gotten an explanation yet as for why it wasn't overturned, so maybe when I hear that, it'll change my mind,» Blashill said. «When you look to the league, if you don't push the goalie's pad in, it's generally a goal. I'm not sure, but I'll wait to hear."
