Joel Quenneville officially returns to Chicago: Starting goaltender revealed ahead of Ducks vs. Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks will welcome back to the United Center their former Stanley Cup-winning coach, Joel Quenneville, today in an exciting Western Conference matchup, as the Blackhawks' starting goaltender has been revealed.

Coach Quenneville has begun his tenure in the Western Conference with the Anaheim Ducks, who will benefit from his Stanley Cup-winning experience. '
This will be the first meeting between the two teams this year.
Spencer Knight will start in goal against the Anaheim Ducks, with a record of 3-0-0 against the Ducks, with a .965 save percentage.
However, with the change in leadership, Coach Quenneville's team should give Spencer Knight more than enough challenge to keep that record perfect.
Joel Quenneville Returns to The United Center
Beforegetting hired by the Anaheim Ducks after his reinstatement, Quenneville last coached the Florida Panthers to a 7-0-0 record in 2021.
After putting himself through some work outside of hockey to see the error of his ways, he'd be reinstated by Gary Bettman and the NHL last season.
It wasn't until May 10th, 2025, that he'd be hired as the replacement for Greg Cronin in Anaheim.
Under his tutelage, the Blackhawks won three Stanley Cups, and we're certain that the Ducks ownership has the same hopes that he could deliver the same results to the Pacific Division team.
The Ducks are 2-2-0 and are 1-1-0 in away games.
It'll be up to Spencer Knight and his elite. 965 save percentage against the Ducks to keep them in the losing column today.
