Blackhawks prospect scores the biggest goal of his career so far
Aside from the fact that the Blackhawks NHL team is in disarray and being rebuilt, the Blackhawks do have some prospects in their systems who will be one day part of the parent team shortly. Blackhawks prospect defenseman Nolan Allan I feel be one of those players.
With the Memorial Cup beginning, and the Seattle Thunderbirds in the mix for the most coveted trophy in junior hockey, Allan scored one of the biggest goals of his career.
The 20-year-old defenceman was drafted in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft in the first round 32nd overall. Once he was drafted, former general manager Stan Bowman locked him up for three years on an entry-level contract worth $825,000 per season.
Since he hasn't been called up and played over 20 games with the Blackhawks, his contract will be pushed down one year and not be affected.
Starting next season, however, Allan will have all kinds of opportunities to try to make the team's roster as the Blackhawks have spots available on their defence core as it continues to be rebuilt.
