Ahead of the matchup against the Vancouver Canucks, the Chicago Blackhawks have activated Landon Slaggert off of injured reserve.

In the United Center, the Blackhawks face off against the Vancouver Canucks tonight.
Although Jeff Blashill confirmed that he wouldn't be suiting up against the Canucks he was present for morning skate and has been activated off of IR.
With Slaggert out of the lineup, the team is operating on an 11-forwards, 7-defenseman lineup with Artyom Levshunov serving as the 7th defenseman tonight.

The Chicago Blackhawks Missed Landon Slaggert for the First 5 Games

Due to a lower-body injury, the team has been without forward Landon Slaggert, who served as a bottom-six player in the lineup. He was seen at morning skate on Friday, and his typical linemates are Ryan Greene and Lukas Reichel on the fourth line.
Last season, Slaggert played 33 games with the Blackhawks, scoring 6 points (2-4).
His NHL career totals are 49 games played and 10 points (3-7) scored.
During training camp, we saw him practice with Ilya Mikheyev and Ryan Donato on the third line, but he has since been a fixture on the fourth. This is due to how well the line of Donato, Mikheyev has played together, with Center Jason Dickinson.
Though we're not sure how he'll find a similar opportunity in the third line, he could draw back into the lineup on Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks.
With Slaggert's return, it could mean that fourth-line forward Sam Lafferty will be scratched for another game.
Will Slagget work his way up into the third line?
