Goalies on the bench may have to wear helmets after scary situation last night

When Jack Campbell decided to sign his five year $25 million deal with the Edmonton Oilers, I'm sure he didn't envision his season going the way it has. He's had a disastrous start with 10 games in going 6-4-0 with a 4.27 GA and .873 SV% and losing his starting role to Stuart Skinner.

The Oilers netminder certainly hasn't been easy on himself and now to add insult to injury (no pun intended) he has sustained an eye injury while sitting on the bench.

We joked around by saying maybe Bettman will implement a rule where goalies have to wear there helmet off-ice, as Bettman recently stated certain players must wear a helmet during warmups.

Safe to say Mr Campbell would like a reset to his awful season. We wish him a speedy recovery.
