NHL legend Wayne Gretzky will be in attendance for Friday's Chicago Blackhawks vs Washington Capitals game at the Capital One Arena, and it now has put pressure on Connor Bedard.
Connor Bedard has been deemed as generational talent before his days in the NHL, but has his on-ice production in the 2024-25 season backed up those claims?
The 19-year old former first overall pick is set to surpass last-seasons point total of 61 as he currently sits with five games remaining and 58 points.
Despite the cold streak goal-drought this season, he has quickly found his footing once again as we all expected, tallying up five points in his past five games.

Blackhawks forward Pat Maroon certainly believes that the teams' young players will perform best under pressure, in attempt to ruin Ovechkin's chances at the goal record.
"We got a lot of young guys in here that get to play in front of Wayne Gretzky, arguably the best player in the world. And a lot of people with stardom are going to be here to try to witness something special. Our job is to ruin it for them."
