Patrice Bergeron Breaks The Silence on His NHL Return
Former Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron, who retired from professional hockey, found himself at the center of rumors this week after being spotted training and skating at various Boston-area rinks.
The speculation gained traction when the Spittin' Chiclets podcast crew delved into the rumors, elevating the discussion in the hockey media world.
Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald took a proactive approach, reaching out to Bergeron directly for a comment on the alleged comeback.
In response, Bergeron emphatically denied the rumors, putting any speculation to rest. Conroy shared the response via text, quoting Bergeron as saying:
"I am NOT making a comeback," with a clear emphasis on the "NOT."
This direct statement from the retired captain puts an end to any conjecture about his potential return to the NHL, sadly, especially for Boston Bruins fans.
