A trade could get underway in Chicago, as a Blackhawks forward's value on the market is currently skyrocketing after a great performance in Monday's win.

Following a three-game losing streak to start the 2025-26 season, the Chicago Blackhawks finally earned a win by beating the Utah Mammoth last Monday.
The team won 3-1, with the game ending on an empty-net goal.
That goal was scored by Ilya Mikheyev, and it was his second of the night.
If you missed his two goals, check them out in the videos below:
Mikheyev had the best season of his career last year with 34 points, including 20 goals, and appears to have taken another step this year.
The player already had a knack for defensive play, but knowing he can contribute offensively also makes him a very attractive player for teams looking to add depth on the bottom six.
"You know what you're going to get. He's a staple of consistency. He goes out there and he does his job. He knows what he has to do, and he does it with pride. It's not always pretty, it's not always fun. He doesn't get a lot of credit every night. There are a lot of games where he'll walk out with no points; he might have ended as a minus-one, but he still played a hell of a game. The stat line just doesn't show it."

Now, he's slowly emerging as a potential trade asset for the Hawks.

Hawks to Consider Trading Ilya Mikheyev This Season?

As he completes the final year of his $4,750,000 AAV contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, Mikheyev, with his great start, could end up bringing an interesting return to Chicago if he were to get shopped by Kyle Davidson.
For a team looking for offensive depth ahead of the playoffs, targeting him is a no-brainer.
However, the Blackhawks could be interested in keeping him as well. His fate in Chicago will likely depend on how the season unfolds before the trade deadline.
