The Chicago Blackhawks made Paul Bissonnette eat his words after last night's game against the St. Louis Blues on home ice.

Paul Bisonnette made a statement last season that shook the team to the core in some way. He called out the team and believed they weren't capable of playing meaningful hockey in the NHL.
He believed that he played "pond hockey", or shinny. It's ironic coming from a former enforcer in the NHL who never won hardware of any kind.
Last night's match against the St. Louis Blues showed what the new look team is capable of.

The Chicago Blackhawks Defeat their Rivals Easily 8-3

The team pulled away from the Jim Montgomery-led St. Louis Blues, decimating all hopes of a win on the ice, with a total of five unanswered goals.
Connor Bedard would finish the night with 3 points (3 A), Luke Reichel scored 3 points (2-1), while players like Tyler Bertuzzi, Ryan Green, Ryan Donato, Frank Nazar, and Ilya Mikheyev all contributed to the cause.
Three defenseman got in on the action, with Louis Crevier, Matt Grzelcyk, and Wyatt Kaiser all coming away with a point as well.
The Blackhawks demonstrated they're more than just a team that plays pond hockey, but a legitimate threat this year.
Most importantly of all, goaltender Arvid Soderblom got enough support from the offense and defense to end the game with a win.
If the team can put together victories like this now, what will they be capable of in the future under Jeff Blashill?
We also think it's time for Paul Bisonnette to apologize to the Blackhawks again. This hasn't been the only time the team has dummied the former NHL enforcer before recalling the Winter Classic last year.
