With Stan Bowman gone, it's no secret that the Chicago Blackhawks might go through some major changes this season and offseason. The team is still holding some pretty significant contracts and interim general manager Kyle Davidson has been given permission to make moves. One of Davidson's moves could be a franchise altering one. According to New York Rangers' insider Larry Brooks of the New York Post, a possible Patrick Kane trade is being discussed with the Rangers. And it would be an absolute massive blockbuster. According to Brooks, the deal could include Kaapo Kakko, Vitali Kravtsov, Nils Lundqvist and a 2022 first-round pick.The one road block is of course Kane's salary which Brooks adds would need the Hawks' to either take a bad contract back or retain a significant amount of salary, maybe even 50%.
