Vancouver Canucks complete franchise history against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday

The Vancouver Canucks have officially completed franchise history against the Chicago Blackhawks in their past meeting on Friday.
On Friday, October 27, the Blackhawks took to the ice against the Canucks in a nail-biting matchup, with Chicago bringing Vancouver all the way into a shootout.
However, the game unfortunately concluded in a 3-2 loss for Chicago.
Following the Canucks' win, a reporter revealed that Vancouver set a new franchise record against the Blackhawks.

According to Adam Kierszenblat of The Hockey News, the Vancouver Canucks have now set a new franchise record for most consecutive wins on the road against one team.
The Canucks have now won against the Chicago Blackhawks a total of seven times in a row on the road.
"The Vancouver Canucks recent dominance over the Chicago Blackhawks can now be considered historic. With the Canucks' 3-2 shootout victory over the Blackhawks, Vancouver has now won 11 straight against Chicago, dating back to January 31, 2022. The Canucks have also set a new franchise record as their seven straight victories against the Blackhawks on the road surpassed he previous record." Kierszenblat stated.
The Canucks' previous record was six; two of those streaks started against the San Jose Sharks between November 13 and March 2016, as well as January 2020 to November 2023.
While Friday night's loss sadly finished in a franchise record for the opposing team, the Chicago Blackhawks have in fact held their own thus far into the 2025/26 NHL regular season.
Currently standing at 3-2-2, with their two losses in regulation being just one goal off of a tie, the team has made extreme progress.
