Maple Leafs acquire Chicago Blackhawks goaltender in an intriguing trade pitch

The NHL analysts at Heavy.com have put forward a trade proposal that would result in the Toronto Maple Leafs acquiring goaltender Arvid Soderblom from the Chicago Blackhawks, who have lots of salary cap space.
The Blackhawks have gotten off to a positive start this year with a 3-2-2 record, including their recent 2-1 OT win over the Anaheim Ducks and former head coach Joel Quenneville.
And one of the main reasons why they're enjoying success is because of the goaltending of Spencer Knight, who was recently re-signed to a 3 year contract.
There has been a recent trade proposal from the analysts at Heavy.com that would see the Blackhawks trade away backup goaltender Arvid Soderblom to the Toronto Maple Leafs and get backup goalie Cayden Primeau and a pair of other players back in return.

Cayden Primeau ($775,000)
Nick Robertson ($1.82 million)
William Villeneuve ($775,000) (total: $3.375 million)

The Blackhawks also recently re-signed Soderblom, who was an RFA, to a new contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $2.75 million.
The Maple Leafs are without Joseph Woll
The Maple Leafs aren't likely to consider Primeau to be a serious backup goalie, considering that he was waived last year by the divisional foe Montreal Canadiens.
They're also without Joseph Woll, who has taken a personal leave of absence and hasn't been with the team since September.
Adding Soderblom would give them adequate backup material behind Anthony Stolarz, especially if he were to get hurt.
