NHL Insider Charlie Roumeliotis announced today that bottom-six forward Jason Dickinson of the Chicago Blackhawks is out of the lineup after an injury from last night's game against the Vancouver Canucks.
Veteran Jason Dickinson has been a reliable forward for the Chicago Blackhawks during his short tenure here.
He set a career high in goals in 2023-24, scoring 22 and 35 points.
Now, in an ironic turn of events, Jeff Blashill has announced that Dickinson will be out of the lineup, suffering an injury of his own.
The Chicago Blackhawks Jason Dickinson: out day-to-day
"Unnecessary. 6-2. And then he doesn't have the...whatever...to step on the ice afterwards. (Forbort) asked him. It is what it is. We'll get him next year."
Of course, this could be the retaliation the Canucks were speaking of before the game took place last night.
The Blackhawks
were unable to defeat the Adam Foote-led Canucks in a shootout, 3-2. Dickinson's absence didn't help the matter.
According to head coach Jeff Blashill, Dickinson remains day-to-day, as the team will face the Anaheim Ducks and Coach Joel Quenneville Sunday in what should be an exciting matchup between both rebuilding organizations.
