Saturday night's Battle of Alberta between the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames was put on hold as a fan in the audience had a medical emergency in a horrific way.
A medical emergency occurred in the 1st-period, caused by a fan suffering a heart attack, lead to a long delay in the game.
Both the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers would stop play during the match in order to allow the medical personnel of Rogers Place to do their job.
The incident would cause the game to be paused during the first ten minutes of the first period.
According to eyewitnesses, the fan also fell down 20 flights of stairs, before someone was able to stop him.
"I'm at the game and it wasn't pretty to see, the fan had a medical episode and fell 18 to 20 rows before someone could stop him..

Ambulances stormed Rogers Place, and the fan was rushed to the hospital.
The broadcast shared details on the incident due to the delay it caused between the Oilers and Flames, but no update on the condition of the fan was given, leaving many worried.
In a big update delivered by the Oilers organization, the fan appears to be alive, as they thank their medical team for quickly transporting him.
The Battle of Alberta was quieter than ever, with Rogers Place remaining in silence through several minutes of emergency.
