The Chicago Blackhawks complete bold move prior to their second game of the 2025/26 NHL regular season.

On Tuesday, October 7, the Chicago Blackhawks underwent their first game back for the NHL regular season against the Florida Panthers, and were able to hold their own for the most part against the most recent Stanley Cup champion team.
Unfortunately, the Blackhawks would go to lose the game by one goal, 3-2.
Now, it seems as though the Chicago Blackhawks are seeking to dissect their best option lineup wise, as the organization will be completing a bold move for their upcoming game against the Boston Bruins which will take place on Thursday, October 9.

On social media, via «X», a reporter posted the Chicago Blackhawks' practice lineup, and it's hinting at a bold move.

Colton Dach promoted to top line, Ryan Donato to third line, Arvid Soderblom starts for Blackhawks vs Boston Bruins

It seems as though Chicago Blackhawks fans can anticipate a promotion for Colton Dach, as he is expected to be on the top line alongside Connor Bedard and Andre Burakovsky.
Meanwhile, Ryan Donato has been demoted to the third line, where he will play with Jason Dickinson and Ilya Mikheyev.
Additionally, Chicago Blackhawks' goaltender, Arvid Soderblom, will shockingly be taking over net on October 9, while Spencer Knight is expected to sit out.
