As we addressed this morning,
ambulances stormed the Edmonton Oilers arena just minutes after puck drop on Saturday night following a medical emergency involving a male fan in attendance, and now new details have emerged.
In what was expected to be a high-tension matchup between the two teams hailing from Alberta, resulted in both teams coming together to take a knee early on in the first period after the puck was dropped.
A male fan in attendance suffered a medical emergency in the 100's section, causing the game to be halted for quite some time.
Details remained slim as emotions and tensions were at an all-time high from those in attendance as well as the players on the ice, but now fans have decided to speak out on what really took place, and it's heartbreaking.
According to an eye-witnessing fan, a male suffered a heart attack while walking to his seat, causing him to fall from 18 to 20 rows before someone could catch him.
"I'm at the game and it wasn't pretty to see, the fan had a medical episode and fell 18 to 20 rows before someone could stop him..
The Oilers' training staff or doctor was on the scene immediately."
With no sign of updates on the individual who was involved in the incident, we are sending our deepest prayers and best wishes.
