Hockey world mourns the loss of young star at the age of 23

The hockey world has been struck with the loss of one of their own stars in forward Evan Armit, who passed away far too soon at the age of 23 last Sunday.
Another sudden piece of heartbreaking news has struck the hockey world as 23-year-old Evan Armit passed away following a battle with cancer.

Evan Armit Passes Away At Age 23
The MJHL issued the following statement:
"The MJHL is saddened to learn of the passing of former player, Evan Armit. Evan passed away following a courageous battle with metastic melanoma.
We send our deepest condolences to Evan's family, friends and former teammates. May you rest in peace."
Evan had an amazing playing career, spanning several seasons from the CAHS' Dryden Eagles up until this past season with Worcester State University, playing Division III hockey.
He was a second-year member of Worcester State while studying business administration.
Formerly, he played with the Islanders Hockey Club of the USPHL and the Winnipeg Freeze in the MJHL.
42 weeks ago, Evan released a video across various social media platforms, introducing himself and revealing the current situation he was going through: metastatic cancer.
A bright smile and an even brighter personality.
