The Chicago Blackhawks are rolling out a new-look line combination involving Lukas Reichel, who has been scratched in all but 1 game so far in the new season.
The Chicago Blackhawks will be playing the divisional foe St. Louis Blues tonight at Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis, and head coach Jeff Blashill is showing a new-look combination in the lines.
Blackhawks lines in morning skate in STL:
Dach-Bedard-Burakovsky
Teravainen-Nazar-Bertuzzi
Donato-Dickinson-Mikheyev
Lafferty-Greene-Reichel
All seven defensemen rotating
Soderblom
Reichel is in a critical year for the Blackhawks, as he's in the last season of his current contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $1.2 million, and he will be eligible to become an RFA next summer.
He's also been involved in multiple trade rumors, and being scratched on multiple occasions so far this season isn't a good sign for his future with the team.
The Blackhawks are going back to Arvid Soderblom for their game against the Blues even though starter
Spencer Knight was strong in Chicago's win over the Utah Mammoth at United Center over the weekend.
Knight made 22 saves on 23 shots, earning his 50th career win in the process, and he was the 6th fastest American-born goalie to reach 50 career wins.
