The First Two Blackhawks to be Out The Door After This Season..
Chicago Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson announced that the team will be going through a full rebuild faze, and mentioned "i do not agree with what general managers say when they keep players off the table, anyone can be made available for the right price". Anybody being available, leads to the two current roster players that are having their worst seasons in their NHL careers.
26 year old Dominik Kubalik and 30 year old declining Calvin De Haan, let's dig into Kubalik:
Dominik Kubalik had a great breakout season for his first in the National Hockey League tallying up a whopping 30 goals with 46 total points, but his confidence has been destroyed since then. Since his breakout season, Kubalik has yet to put up as many shots, goals and shooting percentage for the 26 year old has been a all time low. Kubalik has also stated in a interview "I have been too afraid to shoot and to wait for the perfect shot". The Chicago Blackhawks revealed the asking price for Kubalik, that being a third round pick- but nobody was interested at all.
Calvin De Haan is sucking up over 20 minutes a game most nights that could be used to develop our youth such as
Wyatt Kaiser or Alex Vlassic. De Haan is also going through his worst career season for +/-, second worst career season for points and it has clearly shown lots of frustration as he is on pace to surpass the most penalty minutes in his career. De Haan was also made clear he was going to be moved, but no teams wanted to bite the bullet. De Haan also cracked a joke saying "Sorry Blackhawks fans i am still here" after not being traded at the deadline.
Kubalik is a RFA after this season, expect the Blackhawks to sign and trade the 26 year old away if they can finally someone who is willing to give the young forward a second chance.
Calvin De Haan is a UFA, as reported by Scott Powers- the Blackhawks are not interested in having De Haan return to the Blackhawks.
