This Hawk has shown a lot of potential. He hasn't been up in the NHL for long, but he's one of the only shining lights on this team this season.
Lukas Reichel is only 20 years old. The German stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. Last season, Lukas only had 1 point in 11 games, scoring zero goals. This year, Reichel has 7 goals and 8 assists, adding up to 15 points in 23 games. He's already showing improvement.
One thing he has to work on though are his puck decisions. Reichel tries to go through four defenders at a time, other than dumping it in. Head Coach Luke Richardson says they've been working on that.
I think he is going to be a star. However, what position will he have on the team? I don't think he will be a first liner, with Bedard or Fantilli waiting to be drafteed by Chicago, but they could work him in first line right wing if they can make it work. Second line will be a shootout between him and Michigan's Frank Nazar. The third line slot is wide open, but we all know with his stats right now in 23 games, he doesn't belong on the third line in the future.
