The Chicago Blackhawks Have an Embarrassing Issue That Has Struggled All Season
This power play is sad. Very sad. It's getting to the point where I don't want the power play, just ignore the penalty altogether and keep it 5-on-5.
The Blackhawks have gone 1 for 33, with their last goal coming out of the power play being on January 17th, over a month ago, with a 9.23 PPCTG.
I do believe that ever since Jonathan Toews caught an illness, it has been completely dysfunctional. Toews gives a big screen in front of the net and the Hawks haven't had that since his absence. Also, get
Tyler Johnson off the power play. He does nothing.
The only thing he does is miss open shots and miss open passes. Another one of my pet peeves with him is he doesn't one-time it. Instead, he waits until the goalie slid over and takes a wrist shot.
Of course, we're supposed to be bad and we're going to get even worse at the deadline, but this is dreadful.
