Current Ottawa Senators defensemen Nikita Zaitsev, a NHL rostered defensemen of six years, has recently been exposed on social media for ''harassing'' a young fan. He was not the only one exposed for allegedly bullying the young Ottawa Senators fan, his father and several family members were as well, and screenshots were also posted publicly on their remarks made towards the Senators fan.
The situation began when a account by the name of ''Bruce_Garricrotch'' on Instagram posted a meme regarding the long time NHL defensemen's recent play, stating that ''every goal that's scored against us, he's on the ice'' (referring to Zaitsev, being on the ice). It can be seen below:
As a multi-million dollar professional hockey player under the contract by the National Hockey League, memes, social media posts and other sources of jokes are expected to be made, but the players are also expected to handle it professionally and not go overboard, as Zaitsev did in the screenshots as seen below.
That wasn't all, Zaitsev's family retaliated with multiple family members reaching out to the Instagram account who posted the joke, but in a unprofessional and absurd manner, bullying, and harassing the individual.
Instagram text messages were shown, and Zaitsev's family felt the need to call the individual who posted the joke a
''Fat loser'' and ''cowardly liar'', they also proceeded to post comments on the accounts Instagram, and also continued to send harassing messages, which can be viewed below.
Below shows the father of NHL defensemen, Zaitsev, reaching out in a vulgar manner to the account:
Exhibited below is another harmful message, which states ''did create'' alongside the middle finger and multiple Russian flags.
Should the NHL players association step in and take action surrounding the harassment of this Ottawa Senators fan? Vote below:
