Last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, rookie forward Cole Guttman scored his first NHL goal. This was his first NHL point in three games with the Blackhawks after getting called up Feb. 15 from Rockford.
Guttman has 30 points (16G, 14A) in 39 games so far in his first season with the IceHogs. He was signed during free agency Aug. 18 last summer. Guttman was originally drafted in 2017 180th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
His goal ended up being the game-winning goal to beat the Leafs. To end the night, forward Andreas Athanasiou gave the Blackhawks belt to Guttman.
