Florida Panthers forward and Stanley Cup champion AJ Greer sent a message to Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks after Tuesday's opening game of the NHL season in Sunrise, Florida.

The Chicago Blackhawks lost their opening night matchup against the two-time Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers.
The team lost the game 3-2 but kept the pressure on the Panthers up until the very last moments of the game. It was tied 2-2 until depth forward Jesper Boqvist would put the nail in the coffin of the night, scoring the final point of the game.
The Panthers' third and fourth lines had been prominent on the scoresheet, with forward AJ Greer scoring a goal at 11:06 in the 1st period, so soon after Frank Nazar's first goal of the 2025-26 season.

The Chicago Blackhawks Receive a Compliment from A Stanley Cup winner

The Blackhawks put up a good fight against the Florida Panthers, as the team finished the night with a score of 3-2.
Greer believes the Blackhawks have a great group of up-and-coming guys in the NHL, and three players with a multi-point night is a great sign of things to come.
"Fast team, really talented, transition wise you really have to watch your back. They have lots of talent and up and coming guys. Frank Nazar is a really good player. Thought he was really good tonight"
The players who scored 1 point or more last night were:
Frank Nazar with 2 points (1-1), Tyler Bertuzzi with 2 points (2A), and Teuvo Teravainen with 2 points (1-1).
A good outing for a team that has taken the next step in their rebuild, as the youth movement is featured prominently in the lineup against the Panthers.
Jeff Blashill may not have come away with his first win, but he and the team put up a good effort against the Florida Panthers.
