It's scary news today, as an injury occurred during a hockey game in the UK's Elite Ice Hockey League.
Former Pittsburgh Penguins player Adam Johnson suffered a serious injury while playing for the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL in the UK.

Sheffield Arena was evacuated as a result of the horrific scene on ice. Fans were escorted from the arena.
An opposing player's skate lacerated Johnson's neck, causing a "major medical emergency.". Johnson began bleeding profusely as a result of the injury. In order to save Johnson's life, medical staff acted quickly.
Fans have been asked to leave the building due to a major medical emergency
Johnson spent most of his career with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins and played 13 NHL games for the Pittsburgh Penguins. While in the big league, he recorded 3 assists and 4 points.
