Jonathan Toews' return against the Blackhawks is sooner than you think
Chicago Blackhawks fans will get to see their former captain, Jonathan Toews, who now plays for the Winnipeg Jets, take the ice in the United Center soon.
Chicago Blackhawks fans will be able to see former Captain Jonathan Toews take the ice in the United Center for the first time since 2023 in 21 days!
He will be joining his hometown team, the Winnipeg Jets, as they take on the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks twice this season.
According to a report from The Chicago Blackhawks News Hub, the two will meet on October 30th and January 19th, 2026.
The 2025-26 NHL season is the first season he's taken the ice since 2023, since he took a hiatus from the sport of hockey to regain control of his health.

It will be exciting
to see Toews take the ice for the first time in 910 days, since 2023.
While it won't be for the Chicago Blackhawks, it's great to know the three-time Stanley Cup champion has found a way to resurrect his career from what we assumed was buried for good.
We won't be able to catch Toews on the ice tonight for the team's home opener, but it is exciting news to see him suit up for his first NHL game with the Jets.
