Trade completed between the Chicago Blackhawks and Carolina Hurricanes takes a turn for the worse
A trade between the Carolina Hurricanes and Chicago Blackhawks has turned for the worse in the case of the Blackhawks, as the Panthers are back-to-back Stanley Cup champions and the player involved is now ranked a top 15 defenseman in the NHL.

Jones, whom former GM Stan Bowman acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets, was flipped to the Panthers as part of the trade to acquire goaltender
Spencer Knight.
