Last-minute announcement and it was just confirmed for the Chicago Blackhawks' newest head coach
A last-minute announcement by the Chicago Blackhawks was just made involving newly appointed head coach Jeff Blashill, just moments before the start of the upcoming season.
But perhaps the biggest piece of them all is their newest bench boss Jeff Blashill.
Blackhawks head coach throws first pitch at Chicago Cubs game
In August, the hockey scene is quite quiet. But one thing that's confirmed is Blashill's early arrival to the city of Chicago and an exciting first appearance, to say the least.

He took the mound in front of a packed Cubs crowd and made a decent throw for the first pitch at Wrigley Field.
With the season fast approaching, it was a great opportunity for Blashill to build a presence for himself as the new man behind the bench for the Blackhawks.
The real pressure will be on October 7th, when the Blackhawks face off against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers in their first game of the regular season.
How do you think the Blackhawks will do against the Panthers in game 1 of the 2025-26 NHL season?
