The Chicago Blackhawks have completed a crucial move with forward Connor Bedard and it sparks controversy

The Chicago Blackhawks (21-44-10) kept up with the red hot Colorado Avalanche (46-26-4), but not enough to fix a late-game mistake by the coaching staff with 19-year old Connor Bedard.
The former first overall picks point production has been very impressive so far throughout his first 143-games played in the NHL, but his presence in the face-off dot is the complete opposite.
Throughout his first 117 games in the NHL, Bedard ranked dead last among every single center in the entire league, all 110 of them, with a winning percentage of just 36 percent.
Face-off struggles continued for Bedard on Wednesday night against the Avalanche, winning 4 of 11 on the night, and also a third-period draw in the final minute which would ultimately lead to Colorado's equalizing-goal by
Martin Necas.
The unexpected move from the Blackhawks' coaching staff that forced Bedard to face the pressure in the dot over experienced veterans highlights flaws in their strategy, ones that will not get help the team get in the winning column, and sparked displeasure from the fan base.

report confirmed the organizations interest in bringing in a new head coach to replace interim head coach Anders Sorensen this off-season.
With hopes of a new head coach and off-season free agency acquisitions by GM Kyle Davidson, the Blackhawks, lead by Connor Bedard, could certainly turn things around and restore the organizations rich winning history.
