Connor Bedard has been involved in an abundance of rumors recently as the Blackhawks' NHL season nears its end, he quickly broke his silence by admitting his appreciation for the organization just last month, which caused these rumours to die down, yet a reporter revealed he may still be on verge of departing Chicago.

On last week's episode of Jeff Marek's podcast, The Sheet, a well known name in the hockey joined him to provide an update on how Bedard's potentially feelings with the Blackhawks.

Report on Connor Bedard's future in Chicago

ESPN's inside source Greg Wyshynski said the following:
"I think Connor Bedard wants to be on a winning team and if he thinks that this team is being mismanaged to high hell over the next two to three years, I think he's gonna be the guy to be like, get me out of here."

Although it feels like this key-forward just made his debut with the Blackhawks, he will be a RFA next off-season in 2026, and despite general manager Kyle Davidson's efforts to surround him with talent, the 19-year old is expected to depart from Chicago if change doesn't happen.
Connor Bedard has endured a tough season, regardless of his solid gameplay and record-breaking year, the team is incapable of moving out of the NHL basement with their current structure and head coach, Anders Sorensen.
With Bedard being 19-years old age, his career within the league is definitely not limited, it all just depends how he would like to spend it.
The Blackhawks' probability of playoff contention during the NHL 2025/26 season would be great, but it doesn't seem likely.
As long as Kyle Davidson makes the proper moves this off-season towards bettering the organization, the possibility of Bedard's longevity will remain.
With recent news of Bedard's agents recent statement, it seems unlikely that he'll remain a Blackhawk.
However, when the time comes that this 19-year old can decide whether or not Chicago is right for him, fans can only hope he remains put.
