Oliver Moore sends bold message to the Chicago Blackhawks after his AHL send down

After the Chicago Blackhawks demoted Oliver Moore to the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, he showed them why they made a mistake by scoring twice against the Iowa Wild.
The Chicago Blackhawks took Oliver Moore with the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, and he's already gotten 9 NHL games of experience last year in 2024-25.
But he didn't make the Blackhawks roster for the new season, and he showed them why they may have made a mistake by making an immediate impact with the AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs.
Moore scored twice during the IceHogs' win over the Iowa Wild, and for his efforts, he was named one of the AHL's 3 stars of the night.
Oliver Moore could soon return to the Blackhawks if he plays like that
The Blackhawks took more with the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, and he's going to be continuing his development with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
Thanks to his performance against the Iowa Wild, he's already making a strong case to earn a call up back to the Blackhawks if one of their regular roster players suffer an injury.
Perhaps his biggest asset per his scouting report from Elite Prospects is his speed.
He's always working to win races, be first on loose pucks, and create. Lots of skating skills: cutbacks, cuts, jabs, heel-to-heel, and more, and he uses them all at different speeds. At his best, Moore's anticipation allows him to process plays one or two steps ahead of everyone else on the ice. He had 33 points last year (12G, 21A) playing with the University of Minnesota.
