Kyle Davidson's fate as Chicago Blackhawks GM confirmed following latest report from Elliotte Friedman

The Chicago Blackhawks organization appears set to announce an important contract extension for their general manager Kyle Davidson.
Rebuilding a team isn't easy, and it takes time. In Chicago, management has been going at it for a while now, and the team finally appears on the verge of breaking out.
A lot of the credit goes to General Manager Kyle Davidson for the work he's done since joining the Blackhawks in 2021.
In a new development, Elliotte Friedman discussed Davidson's contractual situation on the latest 32 Thoughts episode.

Kyle Davidson did a great job of keeping the team entertaining to watch despite going through a rebuild. Elliotte Friedman pointed that out when he discussed Davidson's fate with the organization.
He also mentioned that what Davidson built in Chicago over recent years is impressive and that he would be surprised if an extension isn't announced soon.

"Danny Wirtz, who runs the Blackhawks, has been doing a lot of interviews, and it seems to me like we're heading in the direction of a Kyle Davidson extension. It sounds like this is where we're going. I don't believe it's done yet, but it sounds like we're going in that direction.
I've been hearing a little bit about it, and what I think it says is that the Blackhawks may not win a ton of games this year, but the difference between now and where they were a year, two years ago, is that you can see the hope.
You're gonna go to a lot of games there this year. You might not get wins all the time, but you're gonna leave entertained. You're gonna be like, 'That was fun to watch.'
Your fans will be satisfied if they understand you're still rebuilding and growing, but at least you're fun and you can see the talent. That's where Chicago is going here. And that's why I think Davidson will get the vote of confidence. Based on what I've heard, I'd be surprised if it didn't happen."
