Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard, likely the team's future captain, held his teammates accountable after their 3-1 loss to the Kings on Sunday at United Center.

Sunday wasn't the best showing for the Chicago Blackhawks, who lost 3-1 to the Los Angeles Kings.
Long gone are the days of the Blackhawks and Kings battling one another in the WCF, but Chicago still expected a better effort than what was given on Sunday.
After the loss, likely future captain Connor Bedard, who scored their only goal of the night, held his teammates' feet to the fire for their effort.
"Our power play was terrible tonight, so that didn't help takes the momentum out a little bit, and they used that. In the second, we were trying to do too much sometimes, maybe. They fed off that, and we couldn't get it back in the third."

The Blackhawks failed to score on the 5 chances they had with the man advantage, blowing several opportunities that could have shifted the outcome of the game.

Connor Bedard said the Kings' system of play is boring

Not only did Bedard hold his own teammates accountable, but he also had words for the style of play the Kings have, calling it a boring one.
"Yeah, I think on a team like that, just figuring out how to create offense. They play really boring. Like, I mean, not it's not like a dig or anything. They sit back a lot and make it hard to get zone entries. We're putting it in and trying to go get it, but they're good at breaking it out.

A lot of teams are going to play like that, especially when they have a lead, so we've got to figure out how to crack that a little bit."

Chicago will get another crack at getting a win when they play the Ottawa Senators tomorrow night at home.
