Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard has addressed his long-term commitment with the organization during year-end interviews, and revealed if he's willing to re-sign with the team or not.

The Blackhawks' season is officially over and we are now getting the last wave of thoughts from players before they head home for their highly anticipated time away from the rink.
One question that continues to surround forward Connor Bedard is his longevity with the franchise, as he is available to be signed to an extension come July 1.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman and TSN's Craig Button have both sent Bedard a warning about re-signing with the team until their is progress showed by general manager Kyle Davidson with improving the roster, but has the 19-year old taken their advice?
«there is nothing in Chicago that would make anybody think that staying there long-term is beneficial.» Said Button

Bedard got honest and stated he has yet to put thought into signing an extension with the Blackhawks, but assures fans that's only due to him focusing on the season's end.
He revealed that it's a matter of when, not if, he signs an extension to stay in Chicago, confirming that he will be staying with the team for the foreseeable future.
«I love it here,» Bedard said. «I have a great relationship with [general manager] Kyle [Davidson] and everyone. I don't even know what to expect with that - you have the conversations and see - but I'm not too worried about any of that. [We have a] great relationship, and I know I want to be here for a long time.»

But the losing aspect of playing for the Blackhawks at this current time of the rebuild has taken a slight toll, but their recent signs of growth with a fresh wave of prospects have brought light to Bedard.
«If I looked a little sad on the bench or something, maybe people can take it out of context,» he said. «I've said it so many times: I love being here [around] the city, the people. Even before I got drafted, I was embraced as one of their own. So it's a special sports town, and we have a lot of great players coming up."

«People who know me know I love to be here and really trust the direction we're going. Hey, if you get the first overall pick, you're probably not winning the Cup the next two years. It's an understanding of where you're at... We're in a process of growing and learning, and that's an exciting time. When you lose, it makes winning a lot sweeter once you get there. We're excited for that.»

Bedard will turn 20 years of age in July and tallied 67 points as a teenager, and has continously written his name history books of the organization this season.
