The Chicago Blackhawks have healthy scratched a 22-year old forward after he failed to attend meet team guidelines.

Former 17th overall pick Lukas Reichel has been buried on the Chicago Blackhawks' fourth line all NHL season due to poor play, and now he's ultimately lining himself up for departure from the organization after failing to meet team mandates.

Blackhawks reveal why Lukas Reichel has been scratched

Interim head coach Anders Sorensen, confirmed Reichel's removal from the teams lineup ahead of their face-off against the Washington Capitals on Friday, stating that he's 'Gotta be a pro' after failing to attend a team meeting.
The 22-year old forward has 21 points in 66 out of the Blackhawks' 75 games this year, he was scratched for the other nine.
A Blackhawks team reporter also chimed in, and predicted that this will end his days in Chicago.
I hope Lukas Reichel is only renting in Chicago at this point.

Bamford also notes it won't be surprising to see Reichel playing in Europe in a few years if he continues to trend in this direction.
In 2024, he 2-year contract which will expire at the end of next season (2025-26) which may just be the end to his short-lived time in the NHL.
