Chicago Blackhawks forward Jason Dickinson may have ended Filip Chytil's career following brutal hit

On Saturday March 15, the rivals faced off at the Roger's Arena, and took an unfortunate turn when the Blackhawk forward, Jason Dickinson, gave Canucks forward, Filip Chytil, a gut-wrenching hit into the boards.

Sportsnet revealed Chytil immediately made his way to the dressing room after being dropped.

However, it was later revealed that Chytil has endured reoccurring concussions throughout his career thus far, and Dickinson has now left him with his fifth documented head injury since arriving to the NHL in the 2017/18 season.

While Chytil was capable of getting up following the hit, brain injuries are not something to take lightly, and it seems as though the Canucks are aware of that and may take a step back and look at his future beyond just this season.

Vancouver's head coach, Rick Toccet, revealed some insight on Chytil's condition this past Monday and expressed that he is aware of his past injuries.

While it is not confirmed that his NHL career has come to an end, the forward was missing from the organization's line-up on Sunday and according to plenty of speculation, fans can expect him to absent this week when the Canucks head to Madison Square Garden.
