On Saturday March 15, the Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Bedard was ejected from the game after being jumped by four players from the opposing team, the Vancouver Canucks. However, we now know why Connor Bedard was targeted during the play.

Connor Bedard went into Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks with his first game misconduct under his belt, following an incident on Thursday that lead the 19-year old to endure a 10-minute penalty against the San Jose Sharks.
However, Bedard has seemingly now found himself on a misconduct streak as of Saturday night's game, as he was penalized following another questionable call by the Canucks' referee's.
During a play last night, Blackhawks forward, Jason Dickinson, brutally hit a Canucks forward, Filip Chytil, into the boards, which concluded in a missed-penalty and the Vancouver player being forced out of the game.
After this incident, the Canucks decided to target the Blackhawks' key-player, Connor Bedard, which concluded in an altercation that found Bedard, Frank Nazar and Connor Garland dealt 10-minute misconducts.
Another unexplainable call has once again been given to the Chicago star leaving many confused as to why Bedard has been receiving penalties like candy.
However, it was been revealed that the hit made by Dickinson was more threatening than he imagined, as Chytil appears to continuously suffer brain injuries and this massive hit concluded in yet another one.
There has been no update on Chytil following the injury, however we can hope he recovers well.
Although a call should have been made against the Blackhawks after Dickinson's hit, it seems as though the calls following the Canucks pursuing Bedard was more emotional than logical.
Despite another misconduct in Bedard's books, the NHL should take a deeper dive into the depth's of these unexplainable calls and miscalls.
