Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Bedard has been in the hot seat as of late following his consecutive game misconducts, while this may raise concerns, it was been reported that interim head coach, Anders Sorensen, has begun to defender his actions.

Although, Bedard has been the face of the Blackhawks organization for sometime now, he has begun to portray the team in a negative manner as he's let his emotions get the best of him in recent games, and it has costed the organization dearly.
While having their key-forward ejected from two consecutive games is far less than ideal, Chicago Blackhawks' interim head coach, Anders Sorensen, issued a recent statement defending the 19-year old, even comparing him to the future NHL Hall of Famer, Sidney Crosby.

Anders Sorensen compares Connor Bedard to Sidney Crosby

Per NHL insider Ben Pope, Anders Sorensen revealed some insight following Connor Bedard's outbursts:
«Overall, I think he's very mature for being 19, especially with the amount of spotlight that's on him constantly. I'm really impressed with how he handles it,» stated Anders Sorensen. «It's human nature to get to some points that he's gotten over the last couple games. I remember Sidney Crosby went through a lot of that. I remember Peter Forsberg came into the league mild-mannered off the ice, but on the ice, it happens, right? They want to win. They want to be successful.»

Sorensen seemingly disregarded the consistent disputed game misconducts assessed to Bedard, instead redirecting focus on the intensity the young forward has displayed.
«Last game, it was a scrum - I'm kinda [like], 'Good for him. He stuck his nose in there and stayed in there.' We discount that one,» Sorensen stated. «The one in San Jose, it's frustration [in the] heat of the moment as a young player. There's frustration sometimes [with] how they handle it. But he's aware and he's getting better at it.»

The Blackhawks' head coach suggests that Connor Bedard can analyze the situation himself and learn from it.
Despite the frustrations that swarm Chicago following these outbursts, we can hope Sorensen's direction for these misconducts will do Bedard and the organization well.
Although Bedard's overall decisions were strictly emotional and were not ideal for Chicago, luckily these decisions were very costly as the season is nearing an end and the organization is already at rock bottom.
