Kirby Dach, Canadiens plagued with worrisome injury news early into NHL regular season

The Montreal Canadiens have missed Kirby Dach once again as he joins multiple Canadiens players on the injured list early into the regular season, a concerning development for Martin St. Louis.
The Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach is out of the lineup due to a lower-body injury.
Dach didn't play his first game this season until September 25th, 2025, returning from a knee injury that troubled him the majority of last season.
Now, the forward is suffering through a lower-body injury; he remains day-to-day without a timeline for returning to the Canadiens lineup.
Injuries have plagued the former Blackhawks 1st-round pick's time in Montreal, as he's only played a total of 122 games with the Canadiens and scored 64 points (29-35).

The Former Blackhawks First-Round Pick Kirby Dach Out Saturday
The former 1st-round pick Dach will not play on Saturday against the New York Rangers, as Joe Veleno will slot into the lineup in order to fill the depleted ranks of the Canadiens.
Dach is in the final year of his $3.362 million deal with the Canadiens. The question is, after this season, will they extend his contract?
