Major punishment set to be handed out to Edmonton Oilers defenseman following altercation in Game 3

The Edmonton Oilers are doing poorly tonight against the Florida Panthers, down 4-1 at the end of the 2nd period in game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight.

In order to get in the heads of his opponents, Jake Walman tried a new way of doing it, rather than being a rat on the ice.

He'd do it on the bench, as he was spraying #3, defenseman Seth Jones of the Florida Panthers, on the bench.

Jones was visibly agitated by the move and was wondering where the call was, on what could be considered "unsportsmanlike conduct".

We suspect it's more than likely Walman's own issues rising to the surface, as the Oilers are trailing their nemesis, the Panthers, by three goals by the 2nd intermission.

Walman may stumble into a penalty for his troubles tonight, trying to get in Brad Marchand's territory as an agitator both on and off the ice.

But that may substitute for his poor performance tonight with a -1, 3 shots on goal, 1 hit, 18 shifts played, and 13:29 TOI against the Panthers.

Frustration is taking hold of the Oilers' bench, despite the NHL analysts in the booth cracking up.

Connor McDavid might want to get the discipline back in the lineup after an act like that. Walman may be trolling tonight, but when he plays his best hockey, he's a great two-way defenseman.
