Max Domi catches the hockey worlds attention with heartfelt post involving his mother Leanne

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi has shared a heartfelt message to his mom on Instagram, revealing really how far she played an impact into his early stages of life.
The Maple Leafs were eliminated in Game 7 against the Florida Panthers after deep playoff struggles at home and highly paid players not being able to show up under pressure.
One player who the Maple Leafs got their money's worth from is Max Domi, who tallied up 7 points (3G 4A) in 13 playoff games, under a $3M salary.
Domi's dedication to hockey stems from his mother Leanne, who has helped him in his lifelong battle with diabetes.

In 2024, many believed Domi would be departing from the Maple Leafs organization in free agency, as he was unrestricted and expected to hit the open market.
But on July 1st of last summer, Domi and the Maple Leafs agreed on a 4-year extension, which carries an average of $3.75M until the 2027-28 season.
It was nice to see Domi secure a long-term deal, as he has bounced around through teams including the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadiens and the Arizona Coyotes.
Max has since played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, and Dallas Stars.
He then signed a 1-year deal with the Maple Leafs ahead of 2023-24 and later turned that into a 4-year extension nearly a calendar year ago.
He had 33 points (8G, 25A) in 74 games in his 2nd season with the Leafs this year.
