In Milan Lucic's domestic violence case, there's been a big update. Lucic appeared in court today.

Lucic and his wife were involved in an incident that led to Lucic being arrested and charged with assault.

The prosecution made a surprising decision to drop all charges against Lucic after his wife chose not to testify and a judge ruled her 911 call inadmissible.

Once Lucic's wife decided not to testify, things changed.

Lucic's lawyers argued that his wife's absence from the trial indicated that she had made up the claim.

The judge agreed with Lucic's lawyer, and all charges were dropped.

JUST IN: Prosecutors dropped their case against Boston Bruins veteran Milan Lucic today, after revealing that his wife declined to testify and a judge ruled that her 911 call was inadmissible.

While Lucic is in a program to help players, there's no set time for him to return to playing.
