Hockey world mourns this morning following a tragedy involving a young star player at the age of 15 after suffering a cardiac arrest

The family of a young boy is speaking out following the tragic passing of their growing star player, and they are putting to the hospital to blame for mistreatment of his health.
15-year old Nolan Ion of the Upper York Admirals U16 AA team has passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on March 18, he was in gym class at Keswick High School when the devastating incident took place.
He would have turned age 16 on March 21.
Nolan was transported from his high school in Keswick High School in Georgina, Ontario, to the SickKids hospital in Toronto and was sadly unable to be saved.
According to the father of Nolan, James Ion, their local hospital in Southlake cleared his 15-year old son to leave just a short time prior to his passing, suspecting zero issues to the young boys health.
That was until blood clotting came into play after, that was allegedly missed by their local hospital, which would ultimately lead to his cardiac arrest and passing.
«I've lost all faith in the Newmarket hospital The only way he was going to be saved was Saturday night,» his father said.

Nolan's head coach than spoke out and addressed the current state of their health care systems:
«We want to try and prevent this from happening again. «Maybe doctors in our health-care system maybe need to take a little more precautions when it comes to children.»
Leo Baker said
The Ion family noticed complications involving their sons breathing in late November, he was told he had "walking pneumonia" and a punctured lung, but would end up being cleared by doctors to return to the ice.
«Every game, he still didn't have the energy. He didn't have the wind capacity,» Baker said. «You'd only see it on the ice. They don't take kids injuries seriously,» he said. «They never would have suspected a blood clot in an 18-year-old. You gotta run some tests because it can happen.»

Nolan is remembered as a easygoing, fun-loving, soft, gentle, and a respectful young man, according to his father.
The bond between the father and son over the game of hockey was their 'thing' that held them together like glue, but sadly it is now broken.
Rest in Peace, Nolan.
