Scott Powers of The Athletic took to Twitter after talking with Jonathan Toews earlier this morning. Him and Toews discussed many topics, but they made a point to bring up Pat Foley as tonight is his final game as the Blackhawks play-by-play man.

Toews said quote "He's the voice of the Blackhawks. There's just so many great calls and just who he is as a person. He's a great storyteller. He just adds that entertainment and that depth to the value of people watching on TV"

Toews then went on to say "He doesn't pull punches. He's not afraid to go after a guy if he hasn't scored in 15 games or whatever the situation is. We're going to miss him for sure"

The captain's words really do say a lot about how much Pat Foley meant to this organization. For him to acknowledge that Foley will be critical when warranted, but also say that he will be missed, just shows the level of respect that the players had for Foley as well as the fans. Toews realizes that Foley has a job to do and that job is to entertain and call it how he see's it. And Foley certainly did that throughout his entire illustrious career.
