Referee Has Awkward Call Out Prior to World Juniors Puck Drop
The World Junior Ice Hockey Championships are officially underway. The day got started with Switzerland knocking off Finland 3-2 in OT.
Game two just got started between Sweden and Austria. As I am writing this, it is currently 4-0 in favor of Sweden with 14 minutes remaining in the 2nd period.
It was before puck drop, though, that I am writing about this game.
The referee was set to do his call out prior to the puck drop, and it just went downhill the entire time.
He was just babbling, and it didn't help that the Austria centerman said something to him while he was talking.
The icing on the cake, though, is the fact that the winger fell right behind the referee because they were ready to roll and the referee took forever.
