The Chicago Blackhawks Head Coach Jeff Blashill has debuted new lines at practice, while they flex the lineup with Tyler Bertuzzi and Ilya Mikheyev being considered day-to-day.

With the Blackhawks reeling after a "boring" (Connor Bedard calling out the Kings) loss to the Los Angeles Kings, the team has had to adjust.
The loss of Ilya Mikheyev and Tyler Bertuzzi due to injury didn't help matters; both are considered day-to-day, and could help push the Blackhawks through the Kings gauntlet on Sunday.
In lieu of their absence, Jeff Blashill mentioned that both players would remain out and that Bertuzzi won't be returning soon, missing the last few practices, while Mikheyev won't be playing against the Ottawa Senators' Tuesday either.

The Chicago Blackhawks Utilize a 11/7 Strategy Again

With key forwards being out of the lineup, Jeff Blashill has had to readjust the lines to stay fresh, with younger forwards being promoted. One of those was Ryan Greene, who has found himself in the top line with Connor Bedard and Andre Burakovsky.
This style of play could be challenging if a forward goes down with injury during a game, but he believes it's invaluable for the young defenseman in the lineup and will continue to monitor the lines in an ongoing fashion.
With Lukas Reichel being traded to the Vancouver Canucks, they'd have to make a call-up from Rockford if they want to run 12 forwards tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators, but he's instead stuck with the status quo.
Sam Lafferty is once again a fixture on the fourth line with Nick Foligno.
While he's made major changes to the power-play units, as Andre Burakovsky joins the first unit with Connor Bedard, Nick Foligno, Sam Rinzel, and Frank Nazar.
Teuvo Teravainen joins the 2nd-power play unit with Ryan Donato, Colton Dach, Ryan Greene, and Artyom Levshunov.
It remains to be seen if the 11-7 formation of the Chicago Blackhawks is sustainable for the team's future.
Tuesday will show whether they prevail, or not.

Do you think Head Coach Jeff Blashill of the Chicago Blackhawks is wrong to run with the 11 forward, 7 defense style of play?
