The outspoken and highly respected PK Subban recently retired from the NHL and joined ESPN's coverage of the NHL as an analyst. Through his career, Subban played for the Canadians, Predators, and Devils before hanging up the skates this past offseason. Subban played in 834 games and scored 467 points as well as winning the Norris Trophy and King Clancy in his career.
Since joining ESPN, Subban has brought his humor and knowledge to the table. On Tuesday night, ESPN showed a graphic showing that the hits in the NHL are significantly harder than the hits in the NFL, even though hockey players are smaller.
The hits in the NHL are 17% harder than the hits in the NFL even though hockey players in the NHL are 20% smaller. This stat isn't too surprising because players in the NHL are moving around much quicker on skates than the NFL players running on the turf. What do you think? Is hockey the more difficult sport?
