A major twist and the Chicago Blackhawks could very well acquire a star Canadiens goaltender

The Chicago Blackhawks have already settled their goaltending situation for this year after they re-signed RFA Arvid Soderblom after already having traded for Spencer Knight from the Florida Panthers.
The Blackhawks have over $18 million dollars of salary cap space left, and per a new trade proposal from Tab Bamford of Bleacher Nation, the Blackhawks could potentially acquire the contract of Carey Price with a few 1st round picks in return for an injured goalie they already have on the roster.
Blackhawks goaltender Laurent Brossoit did not play a single game for Chicago this year as he dealt with multiple injuries that required surgery. Per Bamford, Brossoit would give them a clear upgrade as backup behind Samuel Montembeault.
There's a chance the Blackhawks could move out Laurent Brossoit's contract in a deal here and he could, if healthy, prove to be an upgrade for Montreal behind Sam Montembeault.

It would give Chicago the chance to unload Brossoit, as he's unlikely to be part of their team when they're ready to begin contending again.
Carey Price has not played since 2021
If the Blackhawks were to acquire Price, he wouldn't hit the ice for them, as his playing career has already come to a close.
He last played in the NHL during Montreal's stunning run to the 2021 Stanley Cup Final and has been on Long Term Injured Reserve ever since.
The upcoming year is the last season of his contract that carries an AAV (average annual value) of $10.5 million.
