Is max domi the player the Blackhawks need?
Max Domi has proven to be a valuable asset to the Dallas Stars lineup, especially during the post-season. In the past ten games, he has been a point-per-game player, reminiscent of his early career success.
Additionally, Domi brings grit and the ability to take faceoffs and fight for his teammates. He even succeeded in a top-line role opposite of Patrick Kane.
As Connor Bedard prepares to join the team, Domi's presence and experience will be invaluable in helping the youngster succeed in his first NHL role.
Domi's productivity in his 60 games with Chicago, with 49 points, is evidence of his on-ice prowess. Of course, as the son of enforcer Tie Domi, toughness runs in the family, as seen in the video below where he stands up for Kane.
Kane was so impressed with Domi's contributions to the team this season he had nothing but praise for the Center:
«Maybe besides [Jake McCabe] I think he's been our most consistent skater this year,» Kane said after the morning skate on Tuesday. «It's been a pleasure to play with him. The way he deals with himself with the whole diabetes thing and how he takes care of himself every second of every day to make sure he's ready to play. He's obviously very passionate very emotional about the game. He wants to do well. He shows that fire and passion on the ice. Which I think is really good. Shows you care. Shows you love the game. Shows you wanna do well. He's such a great teammate too. He's always on the positive side. Always looking to help guys around the room and have a positive vibe around the room. He's been great the whole year.»
It would be foolish to not resign Domi if he is not extended by the Dallas Stars, he could help Bedard grow and protect the young center on ice, all the while growing the role he flourished with, in the Windy City.
